Q.  Can I License My Music to AudioSparx if I Participate at TuneCore?

A.  The answer depends on how you are participating at TuneCore.  

TuneCore's digital distribution service is non-exclusive, meaning artists are free to upload their tracks to a separate music library such as AudioSparx for sync licensing opportunities.

TuneCore's optional Publishing Administration service does have exclusive synchronization rights to the tracks registered in that service.  As a result, if you have signed up for TuneCore’s publishing administration service, unfortunately you cannot participate at AudioSparx with the same tracks you licensed to TuneCore since TuneCore controls the publishing for those music tracks on an exclusive basis.  However, if you have not signed up for TuneCore's publishing administration service, you may fully participate at AudioSparx.

Please Note:  TuneCore's FAQ does not cover the issues or fact that TuneCore's publishing administration is strictly an exclusive service.  The only place you will see a definitive mention of the exclusivity is in their actual publishing administration license agreement.

TuneCore's optional YouTube monetization service is separate from both their distribution and publishing administration services and you are free to use a separate sync service (e.g. AudioSparx) in tandem with TuneCore's YouTube monetization service.  However, please note that for this situation, if AudioSparx licenses one of your tracks to a client who needs to use the track on YouTube without having the track become monetized by TuneCore, AudioSparx can and will contact TuneCore directly to request a demonetization or whitelist for the affected client’s video URL and/or YouTube channel URL.
